Have you taken indigent defense cases or family protection representation (FPR) appointments? We want to hear from you!

TIDC is conducting a survey to better understand the experiences and motivations of attorneys who accept indigent defense and family protection representation (FPR) appointments.

If you have worked in a public defender's office or taken court-appointed cases in adult criminal defense, juvenile delinquency, or FPR, we invite you to share your insights. Your feedback will help inform policy discussions and strengthen support for attorneys working in public defense across Texas.

The survey closes October 31, 2025.
