Austin Bar Association Solo/Small Firm Section The Austin Bar community for lawyers building and running solo and small practices.

The Solo/ Small Firm Section supports solo and small firm attorneys in promoting professionalism and collegiality within the legal profession and local legal community. We actively encourage solo and small firm practitioners to join our section in order to enjoy the numerous benefits that a membership provides. We provide several opportunities for Continuing Legal Education (CLE), networking, and

community service throughout the year. If you are a solo or small firm attorney practicing the in the Austin, Texas metropolitan area, or interested in solo or small firm practice, you have come to the right place.

We had a good sized crowd at the Happy Hour sponsored by NAELA. Alex Graham, CEO, and Dannie Larkin briefly told us about NAELA, a national organization of over 4000 attorneys focused on elder law and people with disabilities and then sent us back to the food and drink. The annual Unprogram of the Texas Chapter is one of the best, most practical CLE events I have ever attended and the Texas NAELA list serv is fantastic - with very experienced attorneys answering questions from members. Right after the Solo & Small Firms Half Day CLE. You do not have to attend the Half-Day CLE to join us at the Happy Hour.

You do not have to be a member of the Solo & Small Firm Section to attend. (But we are a very friendly group, so why aren't you a member?!)

Join us for some snacks and drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options will be available.
