Slingshot Law - Injury Attorneys recently helped the family of a woman achieve justice in a disputed liability auto-pedestrian collision in which the woman was killed while crossing a street in a wheelchair on a crosswalk in Grand Junction. We were honored to accept the assignment and we are proud to have achieved the only acceptable result. May the memory of this woman forever be a blessing to her family.

Autonomous vehicles like Waymo have been doing some crazy things! They’ve been blowing by stopped school buses, blocking ambulances, driving into floodwaters but stopping for puddles, driving through police crime scenes, driving down light rail tracks, and in one client’s case, crashing into them while ignoring a police officer’s traffic control hand signals at an intersection where the traffic lights were temporarily out.

We’re all for innovation and proud of Austin’s tech sector, but these companies are now using our public roadways as their testing grounds. They’re chasing billions in future profits. What happens to the people they hurt along the way? There has to be accountability and that’s where our law firm comes in.

If you’ve had an issue with an autonomous vehicle, Texas has recently created a place where you can file a complaint so we can start keeping a record of these companies’ errors. Still waiting on something similar for Colorado. https://txmccs.txdmv.gov/automated-vehicles/complaints/file

Did you know…some of the most undervalued injury claims come from car accidents that don’t look serious on the outside.

Soft tissue injuries, chronic pain, and long-term limitations don’t always show up in property damage— but they’re very real, and very compensable.

We recently helped a client settle a case for well into the six figures after a crash that insurance tried to write off as minimal. No surgery (as of yet, after >3.5 years). No dramatic scene. Just a real person dealing with real consequences. That’s exactly who we fight for. 💪⚖️

Barn door-style glass shower doors in recently built or remodeled residences and hotels have been shattering with little to no force exerted on them. The cause is typically a combination of contractors not closely following poorly translated installation instructions from Chinese distributors and property owners choosing to ignore rather than correct the issue. Even though the glass is usually tempered, the injuries can be severe and in some cases can even cause death.

Slingshot Law - Injury Attorneys recently reached a confidential resolution to a lawsuit over one such injury. These incidents are happening all over the country and our law firm is currently monitoring dozens of similar lawsuits. If you’ve been seriously injured by one of these shower doors, contact us immediately for experienced, qualified representation!

Is your teen ready to take the wheel? The 16-year-old driving this SUV wasn’t and the price was high. They ran a stop sign and caused a t-bone collision with 2 other vehicles that both had the right of way. Video that we obtained from a neighbor on the 2nd slide.

Introducing Alvaro "Al" Silverio, the newest member of Slingshot Law - Injury Attorneys. Al is an attorney whose commitment to his clients goes well beyond the courtroom. Since earning his law degree in 2019 from Baylor University School of Law, Al has dedicated his practice exclusively to personal injury law, representing clients in 18-wheeler collision cases, catastrophic injury claims, and premises liability matters. He approaches every case with a straightforward goal: to ensure each client feels heard, supported, and positioned for the best possible outcome.

Al's path to law is rooted in purpose. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Al graduated from Cedar Ridge HS in Round Rock and earned his bachelor's in economics from St. Edward's and has proudly served the Central Texas community as a personal injury trial lawyer since 2019. He is a three-time Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star and a Lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Al brings accessible, high-quality representation to personal injury clients across the state, ensuring language is never a barrier to justice.

Outside the office, Al is a baseball fan working toward visiting all 30 MLB stadiums, an avid golfer, and a devoted — if outnumbered — pet owner to one wiener dog and two Persian cats. We are honored to have him on our team. Welcome, Al!
