Hace unos meses, entre diciembre de 2020 y enero de 2021, empezaron a aceptar casos en la embajada de los Estados Unidos en la Ciudad de México. Eso es fenomenal porque en el pasado, solamente era posible pedir una visa E-2 en Ciudad Juárez y el tiempo de espera en Ciudad Juárez es de más de un año y actualmente en la Ciudad de México es de un mes.

Why is the E visa faster than an L visa? With an E visa, you can apply directly to your consulate or embassy in your home country without having to go through immigration in the United States first.
That's not true for the L Visa. With an L visa you have to apply to USCIS, which is the U.S. based immigration service, get approval from USCIS, and then go to your home
consulate or Embassy. The L visa process is longer and more complex, and thus also more expensive, than the E visa process.

An E-visa is either an investor visa or an import-export visa for people who have businesses in the United States or who do import-export business with the United States and their home country.
An L visa is for a foreign company to transfer an executive or manager from a foreign country to the U.S. to work in the U.S. business that is associated with foreign business. A lot of companies might be eligible for either an E or an L visa, but if you have the choice between an E visa or an L Visa, you're probably going to want to choose the E visa because it's generally faster,
cheaper, and more flexible and you will usually get a longer period of stay in the United States.
