We lost a legend yesterday.

Dolly Parton passed away at 80. She went from a childhood in the Smoky Mountains to becoming a global icon, and through it all, she stayed generous, funny, and completely herself — in her music, her giving, and just how she carried herself.

Rest easy, Dolly. Thank you for the songs, the laughs, and the light you brought to so many of us.

Her father never learned to read, and that's what inspired her to start the Imagination Library back in 1995 — mailing free books to kids from birth to age five, no strings attached. The Maples | Jones team spent the day at the Family Law Section All Day CLE gaining valuable insight into important and evolving issues in family law practice.

We appreciated the opportunity to learn more about alcohol monitoring, the role of the OAG in family law matters, updated summary judgment rules and deadlines, and the complexities surrounding family therapy and reunification therapy. We also enjoyed hearing directly from a judges’ panel on effectively litigating cases involving pro se litigants.

Continuing education is an important part of how we continue to grow, strengthen our practice, and better serve families in our community. Thank you to all of the presenters and organizers for an informative and impactful day!

The Team at Maples | Jones is always WINNING! 🙌We had a blast competing in the First Annual 🌮 Taco de Mayo Cook-Off hosted by Bollier Ciccone Stinson LLP, Amini & Conant LLP, and Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas (VLS). The event raised more than $45,067.73 benefitting the much deserved VLS. This is the first of many fun taco competitions!
