Announcement:

November 25, 2020

We have been continuing to closely monitor the health crisis surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. As of November 20, 2020, the State of Illinois issued Tier 3 Resurgence Mitigations to help suppress the spread of virus, while Phase 4 operational guidance remains in effect. (More information can be found at the following website: https://coronavirus.illinois.gov/s/restore-illinois-mitigation-plan). Although the mitigation efforts do not directly reference law offices, our firm always has as its highest priority the protection of the health and safety of our clients, colleagues and community. Therefore, our office will continue to implement “social distancing” protocols and limit in-person appointments to only necessary meetings. All other matters shall be conducted by mail, email, telephone calls or video conference (e.g., Zoom).
Local Courts have implemented strict guidelines that affect our litigation clients. Please note that each County has addressed the crisis differently, but most Counties have greatly reduced or completely ended in-person court calls. Most hearings, conferences and even trials are being conducted remotely via video conference. Please contact our office for any updates on how new restrictions may affect your case.
Regardless of the issues presented by COVID-19, our firm is dedicated to servicing our clients and we remain fully open. When you call our office, you will be directed to our attorneys regardless of their physical location. Please dial our main number (630) 897-8840 and our legal assistant will direct you to the appropriate attorney.
Please contact our office with any questions or concerns. We remain optimistic and will continue to provide excellent legal services throughout this crisis.

To Our Clients, Colleagues and Community:

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (or the “CARES Act”) enacted on March 27, 2020, responds to the economic impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. Amongst many other remedies, the CARES Act provides relief opportunities for small businesses. Notable items include funding for forgivable short-term payroll loans, emergency loans and grants, debt relief programs, delayed due dates for employer pay roll taxes and estimated tax payments, establishing special rules for certain tax-favored withdrawals from retirement plans, and temporary suspension of payments for federal student loans.

If you have any questions about how the CARES Act, or how it may benefit you or your business, please contact our office. For more specific information about the CARES Act, please visit our website at www.dicksonlaw.net.

To Our Clients, Colleagues and Community:

We are closely monitoring the local, regional and national situation regarding COVID-19 (or the coronavirus). In order to protect the health and safety not only of our attorneys and staff, but of our valued clients and the larger community, we have decided to implement “social distancing” and service our clients via a virtual office, effective immediately.

Our office will be fully operational. All in-person appointments and signings, real estate closings, and other meetings shall be conducted by mail, email, telephone calls or, if available, video conference. Your calls will be directed to our attorneys regardless of their work location. Please dial our main number (630) 897-8840 and our legal assistant will direct you to the appropriate attorney.

For those of you involved in litigation matters, most local Courts have closed which will impact the timing of motion hearings, pre-trial conferences, and trials. Deadlines for filings will be extended by the Courts. Schedules are changing daily, therefore, as we learn of these changes we will use email, telephone and mail to keep you updated.

If you need to meet in person, we will accommodate you on a case-by-case basis. If you need to sign documents, we can accommodate you either at the office or we can make arrangements for you to sign outside the office (or send you documents with instructions for signing, but only if appropriate). In addition, if you have draft documents from our office that you wish to finalize, we are prepared to assist you in executing your final documents.

These are unprecedented times, but we stay committed to our valued clients and community. We will keep you apprised of any changes. In the meantime, if you would like to discuss any of this in more detail, please feel free to contact us.
