22nd district, which includes portions of Richmond
County. Senator Jones serves as the Democratic Whip. He is
also Secretary of the Ethics Committee while serving

Solicitor General for Richmond County. In 2008, he
was re-elected with endorsements from the Augusta
Chronicle, Augusta Focus and Metro Courier for Solicitor General. Jones handled
misdemeanor crimes and strived to balance representation of the State with advocacy for victims and
to maintain policies that apply standards of fairness
