🚨 UP TO $10,000 REWARD: MILLION-DOLLAR GOLD SCAMMER ESCAPES β€” NOW ON THE RUN!

πŸ’° A Georgia prison inmate allegedly masterminded an $11 MILLION gold coin scheme from behind bars.

✈️ Gold was flown across the country on a private plane.

Arthur Cofield, 34, escaped from FCI Jesup on May 26. He has ties to Metro Atlanta and should be considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS.

According to court records, Cofield allegedly pulled off one of the most unbelievable fraud schemes in recent memory, all while incarcerated. Investigators say he used a contraband cellphone to steal a victim's identity, gain access to financial accounts, and orchestrate the purchase of more than 6,100 American Gold Eagle coins valued at nearly $11 MILLION.

The gold was reportedly transported by a private security company on a chartered aircraft from Idaho to Atlanta, where it was allegedly picked up using false identification.

Authorities say the money didn't stop there. The investigation alleges that millions of dollars were funneled into the purchase of a six-bedroom luxury residence in one of Atlanta's most exclusive areas.

Cofield was serving an 11-year, 3-month federal sentence related to fraud and identity theft convictions. Court records also indicate he was previously serving time for armed robbery and faced additional criminal charges.

MAN ACCUSED OF POSING AS POLICE OFFICER, KIDNAPPING WOMAN IN AIKEN COUNTY

Aiken County investigators have arrested 39-year-old Jonathan Willard of New Ellenton on charges of kidnapping and impersonating a law enforcement officer. According to arrest warrants, Willard allegedly displayed a badge, handcuffed a woman, and forced her into a Cadillac DeVille while claiming to be a police officer.

According to a sheriff's report, the woman escaped after the suspect stopped at a gated driveway and got out of the vehicle. She ran to Williston Road, where witnesses found her with her hands restrained behind her back. One witness told deputies the suspect then attempted to run her over with his vehicle before fleeing. Another witness helped remove what investigators later determined were toy metal handcuffs.

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who may have had similar encounters or interactions with Willard to contact investigators at 803-642-1761. Authorities believe information from the public could be important to the ongoing investigation.

CONVICTED KILLER RELEASED FROM PRISON TWO WEEKS AGO NOW WANTED FOR QUESTIONING IN BRUTAL AUGUSTA ROBBERY

Authorities are searching for 34-year-old Keon Deshez Leverett (pictured), who is wanted for questioning after a violent assault and robbery Saturday outside C&M Curb Market, also known as the Grey Store, on East Boundary Street.

The victim suffered serious head and facial injuries during the attack.

Leverett was released from prison just two weeks ago, on May 15, after serving one year for illegally possessing a firearm, fleeing police, reckless driving, and a hit-and-run following a police chase.

His criminal history includes a 2010 fatal shooting during a robbery at a Sterling Street home. Leverett was accused of shooting 47-year-old Roderick Tolbert multiple times, killing the father of four during a robbery. Although initially charged with murder, he ultimately pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 14 years in prison. (He served 11.)

In Saturday's case, investigators say Leverett was last seen leaving the area in a small silver SUV with an unknown tag. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
