Final thoughts after watching “The Crash” from a lawyer’s perspective… there are still a lot of questions left unanswered. However from what was presented to me I would not have convicted her of murder. Would you?

I’ve had a ton of people tell me the Hulu documentary includes a lot more evidence and context that wasn’t covered here, so that’s next on my list. Interested to see what changes, what connects, and what stands out after watching both sides of the story.

Watching Crash from a legal perspective, the two things that have stood out to me so far:

• The parents voluntarily handing the phone over to police.

• Electing for a bench trial instead of putting the case in front of a jury.

Both of these decisions could have drastically changed the trajectory and outcome of the case.

I haven’t watched the other documentaries yet. . . but who has insights as to WHY they chose a bench trial?

As more details come out, the story is starting to feel incomplete and the missing pieces are pretty hard to ignore. Maybe that’s where the other documentaries y’all are mentioning come in.

Keeping an open mind is important in cases like this, and honestly, Kaycie made a really good observation that raised some serious questions.

The more you watch, the more suspicious it all seems… don’t you think?

📲 The parents willingly gave Mackenzie’s phone to law enforcement. At that point you cant unring the bell, and a treasure trove of evidence became available to the authorities.

Do you think it would have turned out different if they hadn’t handed it over?

We know today can be a hard day for some, especially when we live in such a prominent military town. Take today to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and the loved ones they may have left behind.

We see you, we’re here for you! 🇺🇸

In Georgia, laws are established to shield people when they’re most vulnerable and overwhelmed.

That’s something we take seriously.

When someone is dealing with an accident, recovery, and uncertainty, the last thing they should face is unwanted outreach or pressure.

If and when you choose to ask for help, we’re here to step in, answer questions, and make sure you’re protected and supported every step of the way.

What does a personal injury lawyer think while watching ‘The Crash’ on Netflix?
Probably not what most people do 😂

I plan to take this weekend to watch and share my thoughts on different things that occur in the documentary and I will follow up with a reaction video next week!

Have you watched it yet? What do you think?

People ask what I do, and the easy answer is ‘I’m a lawyer.’

But that barely scratches the surface.

This work is about guiding people through some of the hardest moments of their lives, earning trust when it matters most, and showing up with both strategy and compassion every single day.

Returning to where it all started 📚

It was an honor speaking at Westminster alongside fellow alumni to answer questions about our career paths after graduation, lessons learned along the way, and why staying connected to the Westminster community matters long after commencement!

Seeing seniors ask thoughtful questions and prepare for what’s next was a reminder of how important mentorship and connection can be during this exciting time in their life.
