Doing a little self-celebration today after two weeks of jury trials. This week, the jury returned a verdict of “not guilty” to all felony charges in Columbia County. Last week, the State dismissed their case after the jury was impaneled in Richmond County (r**e and aggravated so**my charges where the defendant was facing two life sentences).
We can’t win all our cases but we promise to work to get the best possible outcome for every client.

Client was wrongfully being prosecuted for defending himself and the judge entered an order finding that his actions were lawful. The judge found that he was immune from prosecution= CASE DISMISSED. Hard works pays off.

We are celebrating three victories within the week, including one I am particularly proud of:
1. Felony warrant dismissed. Client is able to accept lucrative job offer.
2. Probation terminated 8 years early. Client gets a first offender discharge, keeps her good record clean.
3. 14-year-old client charged as an adult and facing life in prison, successfully gets his case transferred down to juvenile court. Juvenile court has a toolbox of services that are better at addressing the unique needs of a child.
