District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci has officially announced that she will be running for a second term.
Vote For Excellence, transparency, compassion and a proven advocate for the rule of law Brittany Grome Antonacci our District Attorney for Cayuga County. Here is her official announcement:
“Today, I am proud to announce my candidacy for a second term as Cayuga County District
Attorney. It has been an honor to serve this community over the past four years, and I remain
deeply committed to upholding the responsibilities of this office with integrity and dedication.
For more than a decade, I have prosecuted thousands of criminal matters —from arrest through trial—across every level of our court system. My extensive litigation experience, tireless work ethic, and steadfast commitment to public safety make me the most qualified candidate to continue leading this important office. As a career prosecutor, my focus has always been putting the people of this community first. I am a strong believer that justice must be rendered fairly, firmly, and with
unwavering integrity. I support a balanced approach that combines effective prevention strategies with the strong prosecution of violent and repeat offenders.
Throughout my career, I have earned a reputation as a tough but fair prosecutor —one who holds offenders accountable while remaining attentive to the needs of victims and the broader community. I am committed to building on my record of protecting our neighborhoods and championing justice both inside and outside the courtroom.
Under my leadership, the District Attorney’s Office has achieved significant progress. In four short years, we have secured more than $300,000 in additional state grant funding, strengthened services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, recruited experienced prosecutors, earned a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney designation, helped establish a County animal abuse registry, and
launched the Community Accountability Board— an initiative that amplifies the voices of victims
and community members in the justice process. Our office was selected to join the Gun Involved
Violence Elimination (GIVE) Initiative, a collaborative partnership with law enforcement that implements evidence-based strategies to reduce violent crime. We were also chosen as one of only twenty jurisdictions statewide to participate in the STRIVE Initiative, which focuses on reducing domestic and intimate partner violence through trauma-informed, survivor-centered practices.
When it comes to enforcing the law, there is no room for politics or politically motivated
prosecutions. The people of Cayuga County deserve a District Attorney who is experienced,
ethical, and committed to accountability. I pledge to continue serving this community with the same dedication and integrity that have guided my career. I am proud to represent the People of Cayuga County and ask for your continued trust and support this November.
It is an honor to serve as your District Attorney”.
Brittany Grome Antonacci.
