Every day, I help clients navigate the buying and selling process. Because I do it so often, it’s easy for things to become second nature—the steps, the timelines, the path to the finish line. But one thing that doesn’t get talked about enough is the emotional side of it all… before, during, and after.
Last month, we purchased our next home—a major life change for our family. (Yes, walking away from a lower interest rate wasn’t easy.) At the same time, we sold our previous home—the one we brought our first two kids home to. And as we went through both sides of the process, I experienced the full range of emotions: excitement, fear, overwhelm… even moments of doubt.
It was real. And at times, it was a lot—especially while continuing to guide clients through the same journey.
But it’s also the start of an exciting new chapter as we prepare to welcome our third child into this home. Like any big transition, it takes time to settle in.
I wanted to share this as encouragement—if you’re in the middle of buying or selling, what you’re feeling is completely normal. The emotions are part of the process.
And just know, we’re here to help you through all of it—not just the logistics, but the experience as a whole. It’s something we don’t take lightly, and we’re truly honored to be trusted to guide people through such an important season of life.
