CONTINUED CLOSURE⚠️❄️: Due to lingering icy conditions, Auburn City Schools will REMAIN CLOSED on Friday, January 24, 2025.
•
While most main roads have been deemed passable because of the hard work and dedication of the Auburn Public Safety Department, many residential, secondary, and pedestrian routes continue to present hazardous conditions.
•
Auburn City Schools will apply for the relief of these missed days under the provision of Governor Ivey’s State of Emergency. There is no anticipation of changing the school calendar at this time. Spring Break is still planned for March 10-14, with the last day of school and graduation taking place on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Out of an abundance of caution, due to icy road conditions in Lee County, we will continue remote operations for Thursday, Jan. 23.

We anticipate returning fully to on-campus operations at 7:45 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 24.

Out of an abundance of caution for everyone’s safety, due to the snow and dangerously cold temperatures for Lee County, Auburn University will continue remote operations on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

ALL Lee County Roads are deemed IMPASSABLE until FURTHER NOTICE.

LCSO units are having a difficult time reaching emergency calls due to the amount of accidents.

Individuals violating the notice of impassable Lee County roads may be subject to citation under Alabama Code Title 32, Chapter 5a, rules of the road. Individuals traveling to and from work as required by their employer is deemed necessary travel.

Please help by staying off the roads so first responders/public safety personnel can carry out their crucial work. Your cooperation helps us keep everyone safe and ensures that emergency services can respond quickly when needed.
