We think this is cute, might delete later but in the meantime…. 16 years ago Nancy Prager led an effort to protect consumers, independent venues and promoters from the anti-competitive impact the merger of Live Nation & Ticketmaster would have on them. The United States Department of Justice didn’t understand the industry enough and allowed the Merger to proceed. We have all felt the impact in the intervening 16 years. Thank you to the states that didn’t give up this time.

✔ If you need a certified birth certificate, reach out to your state’s vital records office (usually Dept. of Health). Most states let you order online, by mail, or in person.

A terribly sad but essential portrait of what happens when legal and medical systems fail those they’re meant to protect. Nancy notes that the duty of lawyers extends beyond representing clients—they must call out bad actors and do better by those who trust us with their pain. Elizabeth has done just that.

Prager Law is in the Olympic and Para-Olympic spirit this year! Our principal attorney Nancy Prager noticed something unique about this year's games: they were immersive! As a fan there were multiple ways to experience the games.

Not only could we watch the competitors compete and listen to the commentators, Nancy noted that we could follow multiple perspectives:

✨ Athletes’ First-Person Stories: From savoring the magical chocolate “muffins” in the Olympic Village to the pre-competition jitters and heartwarming interactions with fellow athletes.

🎉 Unexpected Observers: Who could forget the joy Snoop Dogg, Martha Stewart, Cookie Monster, and Elmo brought? Their presence added a delightful twist to the games.

❤️ Friends and Family: Because they shared their first-person accounts, we got a glimpse into the emotional rollercoaster of supporting, celebrating, and consoling their athletes.

🌍 Fans and Casual Observers: The sheer excitement of being in Paris was palpable, shared by everyone from die-hard fans to casual viewers on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and TikTok.

😂 The Memes!: From LeBron James as George Washington to my dog Lola Grace breakdancing in the Olympics, the memes were endless and hilarious.

Nancy Prager will be participating on the 1st Amendment in the Crosshairs: Dealing with Defamation panel at the BESLA Inc. Mid-Year Conference on Friday April 5th Georgia State University College of Law. Prager Law advises a wide range of clients, from authors and filmmakers to individuals, on First Amendment issues including how to avoid defaming someone as well as what to do if they feel like they have been defamed. Nancy looks forward to a great day of learning at the conference. There is still time to sign up!
