Medical negligence work takes more than experience, it takes a real understanding of medicine and a willingness to hold the line when the standard of care is not met. At Pope Trial Law, it is about asking the hard questions and advocating when it matters most.

Birth injury cases often come down to one critical question, what changed and when. A healthy pregnancy can shift in moments, and when warning signs are missed or not acted on, the outcome can be life changing, which is why these cases require a careful look at whether proper care was given.

Pope Trial Law recently secured a $6.25 million verdict in a birth injury case in Fulton County. The case involved a preventable shoulder dystocia that resulted in a permanent brachial plexus injury. The jury concluded the standard of care required a discussion about the option of a C-section given the known risk factors.

While no verdict can undo the harm suffered, this outcome helps provide the resources needed for lifelong care and support. We are grateful to the jurors for their thoughtful attention and proud of the collaborative work of the trial team who fought for this family.

Challenging a doctor is not easy, especially when the system behind them is built to protect them, which is why having the right legal team matters. You deserve someone who knows the space and is ready to stand with you and advocate every step of the way.

The most meaningful part of what we do isn’t the courtroom, it’s the people. When clients welcome us into their homes and trust us with their families’ stories, it’s a reminder that these aren’t just cases, they’re real lives. That responsibility is something we carry with purpose at Pope Trial Law.
