Members of our Entertainment, Sports and Media Group have teamed up with an accounting firm and a financial planning company to give a “one-stop shop” to our production, talent and athlete clients for business, financial and legal advice. We plan to offer to these clients’ education as well as services to help them avoid the pitfalls that we have seen so many entertainers and sports figures (as well as the companies which work with them) make.

Our kickoff gathering was held on November 7th and it was a success! Scarlet Oaks Financial Services, Marshal Jones financial planning company, and Taylor English attorneys Alan Clarke and Bruce Siegal met with key clients and representatives in the TV, sports, film, and music industries.

Future educational and social events are planned to further our goal of helping our entertainment and sports clients to navigate their careers and business, as well as to plan for the long term.

We enjoyed attending the Savannah Film Festival this year!

Pictured here are the breakout star award recipients, as well as writer-director and lead actress for one of the featured films, Mickey and the Bear, which has won a lot of awards. The award recipients included the guy who played Aladdin, Beanie Feldstein, and this year's best actor Emmy winner, Jharrel Jerome, from When They See Us and Moonlight, the movie that won the best picture Oscar last year.

Thanks to Georgia Lawyers for the Arts for allowing members of our Entertainment, Sports and Media practice group to host their monthly legal arts clinic. We had a wonderful time meeting and educating many local artists. Georgia Lawyers for the Arts is a nonprofit organization that provides legal assistance and educational programming to artists and arts organizations.
