FAMILY SEEKING ANSWERS FOR DEATH DUE TO GROSS NEGLIGENCE
BY HENRY COUNTY, GA EMS PERSONNEL
PRESS RELEASE FOR CHARLES EVANS
McDonough, Georgia – December 4, 2025
Contact: Law Offices of Michael D. Harper, P.C. (404) 271-6618
The legal team, family and supporters of Charles Christopher-Michael Evans will hold a press conference and media event on December 9, 2025, at 1:00 pm in front of the Henry County Government Office, 140 Henry Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253.
Charlie suffered an asthma attack at his sister’s house, and his sister called 911 and
reported Mr. Evans’ asthma attack to 911 personnel. When the emergency responders arrived to the scene they failed to provide life-saving asthma medications through a bag-valve mask because their equipment failed. The failed equipment should have been detected during a routine
equipment check prior to the start of their shift. In addition, despite Mr. Evans having breathing difficulty and requiring immediate airway management, the EMS providers picked Mr. Evans up by his wrists and ankles, which caused his head to hang back and block his airway, and carried
him off the porch to a stretcher. The emergency responders did not attempt to intubate Mr. Evans by placing a tube down his throat into his lungs, which would have saved his life. Mr. Evans went into cardiac arrest on the ambulance ride to Piedmont Henry Hospital, and hospital medical
staff pronounced Mr. Evans dead shortly after arrival.
Mr. Evans died at only 32 years of age. He spent his early childhood years in Virginia, and moved to Atlanta in his teens. He leaves behind a grieving family who demands justice for the death of their loved one. His family also wants to prevent other families from enduring such
a senseless tragedy.
The legal team, family and supporters of Charles Evans invite all interested parties to attend the press conference.
Please share this press release to help this family find answers for the death of their loved one! Thank you.
