Ramage is being represented by attorney Andrew Y. Coffman. When asked by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution if it would be permissible for government employees to have Signal on their work phones if they only used it for private matters, Coffman acknowledged that it was a “fair policy question.”

“But how would you ever police it?” Coffman asked. “If you have a permissive policy that is `on your honor,’ how do you verify compliance?”

Sometimes an employee knows they will need medical leave and can easily coordinate in advance with their supervisor and Human Resources. Other times, such as when a medical emergency arises, that may not be possible. Is sending a Facebook message to a supervisor an acceptable substitute? We tackle this question, and discuss a real case, in our latest blog post.

We are excited to again be participating in the Georgia Legal Food Frenzy, an annual event in which lawyers and firms raise money and food donations to support Georgia’s food banks as we enter the summer season, when many food-insecure families are particularly reliant on food banks.

There are a lot of great mediators and arbitrators in Georgia, but we are particularly partial to our own founding partner Lee Parks, who has become one of the most sought-after neutrals for employment cases and complex/high-stakes litigation. We're thrilled that he, along with several other neutrals from Henning Mediation & Arbitration Services, Inc., has been nominated as the best individual mediator/arbitrator in the Daily Report's "Best of 2022" survey.
