I represent a wide range of injured workers- from Labor Union factory workers, to Professional Athletes and contract workers in war zones.
I recently tried a case where my Client, a Prison Guard for a private company, broke her ankle. Due to complications, she has long term problems and has to use a crutch and a boot. She kept working light duty for over a year, until the company arbitrarily fired her, refusing to pay wage loss benefits. The week of the Trial, she was evicted. She was having to live in her car with her dog and her HS age Son.
We recently won the case, with the Worker's Compensation Judge Awarding back pay, penalties and full medical treatment. Due to the unfairness of how she was treated, the Judge also ordered the company to pay Attorney fees, so it did not come out of her benefits.
All Injured Employees deserve their day in Court. No one should have to live in their car.
