Most giant tax problems start as "eh, I'll deal with it next month."

Not filing is punished way harder than not paying.
Failure-to-file is 5% a month.
Failure-to-pay is 0.5% a month.
That's a 10x difference 🫠
So even on your brokest day, filing is still the single cheapest move you can make.
A small tax problem doesn't grow because you're a bad person.
It grows because it's quietly compounding while you're busy not looking at it.
Catch it early and it's almost always fixable.
