As we wrap up our series of common reasons many people decide to make a move, we will review location. One of the most common reasons people choose where to live is because of the home’s proximity to work, schools, churches, shopping, health clubs, and many other places. For example, if you selected your current home because it was close to work, but have since then changed jobs or even retired, the proximity to your previous employer is likely no longer important. You may want to live closer to your new employer, or if you have no employer or work remotely, that can open up a whole new world of possibilities when it comes to choosing where to live. Having the right proximity to important locations can truly impact your life and daily routines. If you feel that your work commute is too long, maybe we should take a look at other options closer to work. Likewise, if you are paying a premium to live close to a place that no longer holds the same importance or necessity as it did in the past, we can explore other areas of town that may give you what you want in a home and potentially even cost less.
