Lots of companies throw out their old technology assets when they hit their end of usable life.

Not here at wordZXpressed! After reading about some incredible projects being conducted worldwide, we decided we may as well put some of that retired computing power back to work for GOOD rather than RECYCLING for metal.

Meet CANCER-KILLER, wordZXpressed's first server contribution to the World Community Grid. The WCG is a worldwide computing project that utilizes volunteers' computers to crunch petabytes of medical and clinical data that will ultimately aid in new discoveries and advancements in cancer and HIV research, among others.

Slick new technology to help make your EHR truly paperless?

Sure sounds like it. While we have not seen this product in person at any of our customer sites, we will surely pass along the info for them to check this out.

Our friend John Lynn over at HealthcareScene.com has a great article on what he calls “the slickest solution I saw at HIMSS15.” Knowing that many of our customers struggle with this exact issue, it is great to see a company out there that came up with a perfect fix for a common problem that none of the EHR companies seemed to want to address.

Everyone here at wordZXpressed hopes you are having a great new 2015.

Here, we are very busy with projects and new customers, which is always a good thing.

Without our always adapting technology and great team of transcriptionists (now at over 300!!), we wouldn't be able to continue to provide quality transcription services to the physicians who believe even in the era of EHRs, that a robust, unique narrative of the patient encounter is extremely valuable.

So we have been growing the non-medical side of our business like crazy recently. This is great on many levels. Best of all, we had added over a dozen great, new members to our team of professional transcriptionists.

We have also added 2 members to our Admin Team to help keep an eye on our growing operations. Together, the new talents bring a collective 30+ years in the transcription industry with them.

Teamwork is all about combined efforts. Without a great team of transcriptionists to hammer through the work and our managers and operations staff that make sure the customers get a quality product back fast, we wouldn't be where we are today: Adding jobs.

Let's keep it going, team!

So proud of our great and growing team here at wordZXpressed. We have added over 10 new team members over the last 2 weeks. Success and growth comes when the entire organization has a common goal.

So what do you think? Since the adoption of EHRs in your doctors' offices, have you noticed a decrease in the level of care you receive?

If so, it may be because of the "stress" the providers are under to implement, learn and USE these systems that are typically NOT built with streamlined operations and patient care in mind.

Cumbersome EHR workflows and confusing interfaces are a significant source of stress for providers who want to focus on their patients.
