Another trial victory for WEATHINGTON! Our team secured a defense verdict after a hard-fought 2-week trial in Cobb County State Court, with Judge Allison Barnes Salter presiding.

Paul Weathington, Charles Haack, and legal nurse consultant Debbie Sullivan successfully defended a trauma surgeon and a physician’s assistant for a large metro hospital in a case involving questions of emergency medical care following a lacerated tibial artery and nerve.

The Plaintiff sought $12 to $17 million, but after deliberating for just under 5 hours, the jury returned a complete defense verdict. This outcome highlights Weathington’s ability, skill, and perseverance to fight and defend cases involving complex surgical care and procedures for our outstanding clients.

The attorneys at WEATHINGTON have secured their third defense verdict in just five weeks following a weeklong trial in Fulton County State Court, with Judge Susan Edlein presiding.

Our team - lead counsel Paul E. Weathington, Henry Green, and Nurse Consultant Leigh Ann Wilder - successfully defended a bariatric surgeon in a case involving surgical complications. The jury reached a decision in less than an hour, returning a verdict for the defense.

We are proud to announce another defense verdict last week in Cobb County following a weeklong trial before Judge Allison Salter. Paul Weathington and Robert Evans, assisted by Nurse Lisa Po***ck, successfully defended a surgeon and his practice in a complex medical malpractice case involving a retained foreign body following a robotic hysterectomy.

In a case where the plaintiffs were seeking $8 million, the jury deliberated for just four hours before rendering a verdict in favor of the defense. This outcome reinforces Weathington’s ability and expertise in defending cases involving specialized surgical technology and our continued commitment to achieving the best outcomes for our clients.
