Congratulations Fall 2023 graduates!

to December 2010 when I graduated from college!

Here my mom and I are pictured at my graduation party. It was a full circle moment as I had graduated with my bachelors and pledged AKA as an undergrad just like my mama!

Like many of us, I have always wanted to honor my parents through my accomplishments. Being a third generation college graduate is not something I take lightly. My granna cleaned houses and worked multiple jobs to make sure I had what I needed. My mom sacrificed many things she wanted to do in life to make sure I had the best of the best when it came to education and experiences. Those are just SOME of the examples of black women I had in my life!

Those memories and the emphasis on education is one reason why through my practice I always seek to educate my clients about the process. I believe understanding and knowing the “why” aids in the learning process.

I had so much fun last night at the party that I hardly got any pics! Not one with any of the beautiful people in the room! It is always so good to see my colleagues, old friends and to meet new friends!

P.S. I did manage to snap it up a bit at my fave place afterward. MCK is always a good idea. ☺️

Happy Founders’ Day to the men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc!

Congratulations on 117 years of being First of all, Servants of All, and Transcending All.

Fun fact: My grandfather was a life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc and was very active in the organization. In Fall 1985, my grandfather and his chapter appeared on the cover of “The Sphinx” the official publication for Alpha Phi Alpha members. His graduate chapter, Zeta Psi Lambda won National Alumni Chapter of the year.
