Last week, Executive Director Skipper StipeMaas, Chief Financial Officer Delene Porter, and Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator Jasmine Helms, attended the Joint Ag Issues Summit in Perry! The Ag Committee and presenters highlighted economic and sustainability issues Georgia’s farmers are facing and emphasized the need for preserving family farms in rural Georgia.

Ms. StipeMaas, Ms. Porter, and Ms. Helms spoke with representatives from state agencies and other organizations and distributed a flyer outlining the Center's current programs (pictured). For more information about the work of the Center, visit www.gaheirsproperty.org.

Generational wealth secured! ✅ When heirs property owners clear their title, it's essential to get a carefully written estate plan to prevent heirs property from happening again in the future.

Senior Staff Attorney Wanda Ferreira and Intake Specialist Lauren Justice recently conducted an estate planning Signing Day for a client in Seminole County. The Center had successfully cleared the client's title so she could receive home repairs and prepared an estate plan to "close the loop" on heirs property.

Last week, the Center's Legal Programs Director, Will Worley, and Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator, Jasmine Helms, headed to Thomasville to provide an educational workshop on heirs property prevention and resolution.

The presentation was hosted by Thomasville Community Development Corporation and held at St. Luke CME Church in Thomasville. Special thanks to Earl Williams of Thomasville CDC for organizing the event and to St. Luke CME Church for providing a great space for the presentation. 🙌

Last week, Executive Director Skipper StipeMaas, Chief Operating Officer Delene Porter, and Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator Jasmine Helms headed to Perry for an educational workshop in the Oldfield Neighborhood.

Center staff headed to Bainbridge last week to conduct the first of two Signing Days in southwest Georgia! Seven of the Center's clients executed their estate planning documents. These documents prevent heirs property and secure generational wealth. ✅
