Most people make critical mistakes in the first five minutes after a crash.
Not because they're careless. Because nobody ever told them what to do.
Your adrenaline is rushing. The other driver has already stepped out of their car. Someone might be calling 911. In the middle of all this chaos, the choices you make in the next few minutes can either protect your case or quietly ruin it.
Here's exactly what we tell every single client:
Before you move the cars:
β Film everything. Get both vehicles from every angle, along with debris, skid marks, and traffic signs. Donβt just take photos. Record a video and explain what you see as you go.
β Find witnesses right away. Approach anyone nearby and ask for their name and phone number. Donβt wait. People leave within minutes, and you may never find them again.
β Look for cameras. Gas stations. Parking lots. Storefronts. Any footage from those cameras could become the most important evidence in your case.
β Save your dashcam recording right now. Don't assume it's safe. Save the clip before it overwrites.
After all of that, move the cars.
In court, nobody cares how scared you were or how bad you felt. Evidence is the only thing that matters. And evidence is built in those first five minutes.
26 years. 5,000+ cases. This is the one thing we wish every driver knew before they needed us.
Save this. Share it with someone who drives. And if you're dealing with the aftermath of a crash right now, DM me. Consultation is free.
