A failure to appear while out on bond may result in an arrest warrant, loss or forfeiture of bond, changes to your release conditions, and, in some circumstances, a separate bail jumping charge. 🚨
If the underlying case is a felony, felony bail jumping can carry 1–5 years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000.
But a missed court date does not automatically mean you’re guilty of bail jumping.
