Every Drug Rehabilitation Facility Should Have Naloxone On Hand
When families place their loved ones in drug rehabilitation facilities, they expect the highest standard of care. Unfortunately, many facilities lack the life-saving medication that could prevent tragic overdoses.
Naloxone (Narcan) rapidly reverses opioid overdoses and should be readily available in every rehabilitation setting. Even in treatment, overdose risks remain due to reduced tolerance after periods of abstinence and other vulnerable factors.

At Mitchell Shapiro Greenamyre & Funt LLP, we've represented families who lost loved ones to preventable overdoses in facilities that lacked this essential medication.
