I heard someone say, “The world is a colder place when you lose your mom”. I could see how that is true but realized even with my mother’s absence my world is warm (and sometimes hot lol) because of the protection of my Grandma.

She is my role model, the GRANDEST of mothers, indeed. Now that I am a mom, I get it. The silent work, sacrifices, fixes that go unseen but always felt. To the practices, competitions, pageants, costume fittings, community service, college, football games, law school, career, marriage, professorship, and motherhood - who would I be without you? Thanking GOD, I would never know. I wish you the happiest birthday! It is my honor to care for you as you have always done for me and now my daughter. True legacy 💜

8 weeks in, and I’m forever changed. God has entrusted me with my own little miracle, and I am eternally grateful.

I’ve found a new empathy for my mother and grandmother. I see now—we are all just girls, doing our best, loving hard and praying for the best. My community has gently ushered me into this experience, with grace. I’m a better mother and woman because of it. 💜

There is nothing I have wanted more than to be a mother. And soon, my greatest and most precious blessing will arrive.

Mina is her name. Across cultures, Mina carries many meanings, but like Jasmine, Mina is a flower. In Persian, Mina is a daisy—symbolizing purity, new beginnings, and resilience.

She was almost Jas, lol. But I have to admit, Nate was right—Mina is her own. Flowers have always been symbolic of my journey, beyond just my name. I have the honor of nurturing her BLOOM and I cannot wait. 🌸
