Immigration Partner Emily Niklaus Davis recently won a case in the Georgia Court of Appeals which will have positive effects for migrant children across DeKalb County. The Georgia Court of Appeals reversed an order from the DeKalb County Juvenile Court, which ruled that it was in the best interest of the child to return to Guatemala because it is no more dangerous to live there than DeKalb County. We are so proud of this huge win, which will not only save this child’s life, but will also give many other migrant children in DeKalb County a fair chance at receiving the protection from the court that they deserve.

La socia de inmigración Emily Niklaus Davis ganó recientemente un caso en la Corte de Apelaciones de Georgia que tendrá efectos positivos para los niños inmigrantes en todo el condado de DeKalb. La Corte de Apelaciones de Georgia revocó una orden de la Corte Juvenile del Condado de DeKalb, que gobernó que lo mejor para el niño era regresar a Guatemala porque no es más peligroso vivir allí que en el condado de DeKalb.
