Janis H. Spillers is a native of Franklinton, Louisiana and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana with a B.A. in English Education in 1992. She taught middle and high school English and Spanish for five years. In 2000, she obtained her J.D. with honors and graduated in the top 10% of her class at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was a member of Phi Alpha Delta and was a teaching assistant in both criminal and constitutional law during her law school career. Ms. Spillers will complete her LL.M in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C. in May 2019.

Although born in New York City, Alvin was educated in the segregated public schools of Wilmington, NC graduating from Williston Senior High School. Alvin credits the foundational education he received at Williston for whatever success he has had in his career.

As an undergraduate, Jim had the privilege of being educated in marketing at the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business, and graduated in 2003. Afterwards, Jim worked a couple of different marketing jobs in the Atlanta area for 3 years before entering Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, and graduated in 2009.

James M. Anderson, III was born in Atlanta and received his bachelor’s degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology, followed by his law degree at the University of Georgia School of Law (J. D., cm laude 1980). He is married with two children, and is a commercial pilot.
