We all need a little help sometimes and here’s how to ask.
At the end of the day, we are all very similar. We all have challenges in life. We all face vulnerabilities. And we all need a little help sometimes. Yet, for some reason many (including myself) are hesitant or embarrassed to ask. This is not the time or place to discuss why many have a tough time asking for help while others do so with ease. Why then do I bring it up, you ask?
Well, I raise the fact that we all need some help every once in a while, to make the point that we do not need to unnecessarily struggle when someone or something is available to make things easier for us.
What exactly am I talking about?
As many of us are trying to figure out how we are going to survive and keep our doors open I wish to make those aware that aren’t already that New York City is now providing relief for small businesses across the City seeing a reduction in revenue because of COVID-19. Businesses with fewer than 100 employees who have seen sales decreases of 25% or more will be eligible for zero interest loans of up to $75,000 to help mitigate losses in profit.
New York City is also offering small businesses with fewer than 5 employees a grant to cover 40% of payroll costs for two months to help retain employees.
Small businesses are eligible to apply for a low-interest loan due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
