A full-time Aspen broker for nearly two decades, Raifie has been involved in hundreds of millions of dollars of Aspen real estate transactions, both acquisition and sales. Prior to his affiliation with Douglas Elliman, he was the owner of Aspen’s first Sotheby’s affiliate (Aspen Land and Homes Sotheby’s International Realty). In his tenure in the business, Raifie has honed his vast knowledge, keen people skills, and ability to negotiate the most complicated of transactions with grace and humor. Identifying potential development projects is a specialized field and a particular expertise of Raifie’s. By first listening and then helping a client assess and determine their requirements, he can capably assemble teams of planners, architects and builders best suited for any client’s demands. Raifie has personally planned and developed 11 projects in Aspen, and is able to stay actively involved in all aspects and phases of the design/build process as a liaison for his clients. Raifie, his wife Michele, their two sons and two Pugs recently sold in the third home they’ve built in Pitkin County. An avid cyclist, snowboarder and hockey fanatic, Raifie is a grateful two-time cancer survivor who started Aspen’s “Ride for the Cure” to benefit Susan G. He is also President of the AEF (Aspen Education Foundation) board.
