Facebook friends, this will be my last post. I have found that I am happier when I do not use Facebook and other social media. But, setting aside this mental health aspect, I also believe that Facebook, Meta, X and instagram put money into the pockets of billionaires that are actively dismantling our government. These platforms are unhealthy for political discourse and allow for the spread of baseless conspiracy theories, other disinformation and worse things. I will no longer participate in or support companies that are causing so much damage to our society. I do not view America’s political differences as Republican vs. Democrat. I see the difference now as billionaires vs. the rest of us. The flood of money in the 2024 elections was unprecedented. It will get worse. I am going to leave this up for a few hours, but I will be closing my accounts this evening. Love to you all. Sincerely, Matt.
