During this time of year, it is important to take pause and reflect. As a child, at our dinner table, my family would join hands and recite: “The people who walked in darkness, Have seen a great light, On those who dwelt in the land of darkness, On them let light shine.”

The lesson I learned, and now share, is that we all have suffered times of deep darkness. Some of us are there right now and some may
visit there in times yet to come. Remember this: The sun always shines. From time to time there are things between it and us. But it always shines.
