August is National Make-A-Will Month 📝

A Will is one of the most important documents you can have in place to make your wishes known and help protect the people you love.

Without a Will, or a plan in general, your estate may be distributed according to state law rather than according to your wishes.

This National Make-A-Will Month, take a moment to ask yourself: If something happened to me tomorrow, would my family know what I wanted?

If the answer is no, it may be time to start the conversation.

Meet Mackenzie: Our Client Services & Enrollment Coordinator!

Mackenzie recently moved to Asheville from New York City, where she earned her MFA in Poetry from New York University. Having recently joined the firm, she works closely with prospective and current clients to ensure a welcoming enrollment experience. Mackenzie enjoys helping families feel informed and supported.

When she's not at Craig Associates, you can find Mackenzie spending time with her dogs, writing at the Dripolator Coffeehouse, or exploring Asheville. She loves traveling with her partner, visiting family and friends, going to art museums, attending concerts, and experimenting with film photography.

Although Mary has only been with the firm for a short time, she has already helped many of our clients complete their estate planning through the funding process.

Mary has a long background in finances working with banks; she loves this work so much that she is currently attending Western Governors University for a business degree focused on finance.

When Mary isn't working, you can find her with her husband Cristian, her dog Lexi, and her cat Garfield. If she isn't with them, she is watching her favorite TV show and crocheting!

Nicholas is an estate planning attorney dedicated to helping individuals and families protect what matters most. He works closely with clients to create customized plans tailored to their goals and believes that proactive planning is one of the most valuable gifts individuals can provide for themselves and their loved ones.

He is passionate about making the estate planning process approachable and understandable, and helping clients gain peace of mind knowing their loved ones and assets are protected for the future.

Nicholas earned his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law, where he studied under a Justice of the Supreme Court of Florida.

When not helping clients, Nicholas is an avid sports fan and enjoys the mountains with his partner and their dog.
