🚨 IMPORTANT: Fake DMV Text Scam Across North Carolina 🚨

Lately, many NC residents have received texts pretending to be from the DMV, claiming you owe unpaid fines or fees. The message often threatens to suspend your license if you don’t act quickly.

⚠️ This is a scam.

According to the NCDMV, these messages are completely fake and designed to steal your personal or financial information.

✅ What to know:

The DMV never sends payment requests through text, DMs, or email. Official communication will only come through your secure myNCDMV account.

🛑 If you get one of these texts:
• Don’t click any links
• Don’t share your info
• Delete the message
