Hello All here’s an update on Josh’s case court just ended at 5:40 but the DA gave Gavin a plea of 2 misdemeanor charges. But thank God the judge sentenced him to 60 days active for the the misdemeanor death & 45 days for the misdemeanor leaving the seen of an accident but that was suspended for 30 months probation & 200 hrs of community service.
And the probation sentence was more than recommended but the 45 days was less than the max but he (the Judge) wanted to give him (Gavin) more time to reflect on his actions. This isn’t the outcome we were hoping for but it is more than we expected!

Y’all today is the day we go to court & hopefully get ! The hearing is scheduled for 3pm if you’re free and would like to come sit with us we would greatly appreciate the support. Court will be held at the Henderson County Court House in courtroom 2 on the 2nd floor. If you can’t make it please keep us in your prayers

Today would have been Josh’s 38th birthday! Instead of celebrating his life with him we spent time at a cross on the side of the road where his life was taken from him & a graveyard. 💔🥺 I miss him so much I can’t seem to find a way past the anger & hurt.

This is where I come to spend time and talk to my baby brother... 💔 Meanwhile the POS that killed him is walking/driving around, working a job, living like nothing happened and his court date continues to be pushed back! Now his court date is 8/25/20; more than 6 months with absolutely nothing!

Due to the Coronavirus the justice system is pretty much shutdown along with everything else...

This is Gavin Montgomery Schofield’s mugshot! Also what he’s charged with as well as another hit & run; less than one year ago (With a different defendant) who was charged with 2nd degree murder & that guy Turned himself in but! this lowlife POS didn’t and he’s only being charged with hit & run & Misdemeanor Death by vehicle! This is not justice and Josh deserves better.
Watch out if you’re on the rds with this guy... you or your family member could be next
