What is an Acknowledgement?

An acknowledgement is a notarial act where a person comes before the notary with a document, presents valid ID if the notary does not personally know them brings a witness both the client and notary knows to verify their identity if they dont have an ID. The client also either signs the document while the notary watches or acknowledges to the notary that the signature on the document is their's if they signed it already. During this act, the client is acknowledging they signature is their's and that they willingly sign the document. Have you ever done an acknowledgement?
