Nobody lied when they said real estate would open a lot of doors. 🚪
I just assumed they meant front doors. 😂
Here is what they actually meant.
The door to becoming a fully unlicensed therapist on closing day when the seller gets emotional about leaving the home they raised their kids in and the buyer is trying to figure out how to be compassionate without losing momentum. 🧠
The door to a forty five minute negotiation with someone who absolutely will not budge over a $200 credit on a $900,000 transaction. 😅
The door to explaining — for the fourth time, with a new diagram — why the inspection report is not a demolition notice and why a three page document about minor maintenance items does not mean the house is falling down.
The door to coordinating eight different people toward one closing date while simultaneously managing the emotional states of everyone involved including yourself.
The door to celebrating a closing like it is genuinely the greatest moment of your professional life — and then starting the entire process over again the following Monday morning.
And the door to a career where the emotional range between 9am and 5pm on any given Tuesday genuinely deserves its own separate commission check. 😂
