U.S. citizens traveling to most European countries should expect new automated border checks and to have their biodata digitally collected upon arrival and departure. Munich, Germany: The U.S. Consulate General advises U.S. citizens of the closure of the Oktoberfest (Wiesn) grounds due to a bomb threat. According to current reports, the grounds will be closed until 1700 today, October 1, 2025. U.S. Consulate personnel have been advised to avoid the area.
