🚨 HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD CONFUSION — CLEARED UP 🚨
Because the internet is doing way too much and mixing people up 😮‍💨📣
Let’s get one thing straight ⬇️
✨ Head of Household (HOH) is a FILING STATUS
✨ It is NOT a deduction
✨ It is NOT the same as Single
Here’s the part folks keep misunderstanding 👀
✔️ Head of Household filers are considered unmarried for tax purposes
❌ That does NOT mean you have to be “single” in real life
Unmarried for tax purposes means:
• Not married, or
• Legally separated as of December 31
🚨 Now the BIG myth 🚨
Head of Household does NOT use the Single standard deduction.
It has its OWN higher deduction 💰
📌 Approx. 2024 Standard Deductions
• Single ≈ $14,600
• Head of Household ≈ $21,900
• Married Filing Joint ≈ $29,200
So when you hear:
👉🏽 “If you don’t get $23K you gotta file Single”
🚫 FALSE. LOUD AND WRONG.
📝 To qualify for Head of Household, you MUST:
✔️ Be unmarried for tax purposes
✔️ Pay MORE than half of the household expenses 🏠
✔️ Have a qualifying person live with you most of the year 👶🏽
This filing status exists to support people who are actually carrying the household 💪🏽
⚠️ Filing it wrong can lead to:

As tax season is officially underway, we wanted to share a few important updates and reminders:
✅ I will be full-time in the office starting Monday
✅ Quotes have begun as of January 3rd
✅ Last paystub may be used for quote purposes only
✅ Pre-ack advances will begin Monday
✅ In-season advances will begin January 26th
