Are you receiving urgent text messages claiming you have a court hearing and threatening penalties if you don't act immediately?

That's a scam. Here's what you need to know:

✓ Maryland courts NEVER request payment by text, phone, or email
✓ They NEVER threaten immediate legal action via text
✓ They NEVER ask for personal information this way

What the scam looks like: Fake texts directing you to a supposed court hearing with fake links and demands for payment or personal info.

What to do:
1. Don't click any links
2. Don't provide personal information
3. Delete the message
4. If you're concerned, contact Maryland courts directly
