Thousands of Alaskans may wait weeks or even months for SNAP decisions. For many, that can mean going without consistent access to food while navigating a complex process. You can help.

SNAP Advocacy volunteers support individuals through the application and appeals process, helping them understand their rights and access the food assistance they need. Training is free, online and self-paced.

Community Justice Workers are helping expand access to justice across Alaska, contributing to nearly one in five ALSC cases in 2025. To support this growing network, the CJW Resource Center is launching three new free, self-paced legal training courses:

• Disaster Response
• Eviction Defense
• Probate

Registration is now open. Courses are offered at no cost to CJWs who agree to participate in ALSC's volunteer program by either taking at least one ALSC case or sharing general legal information with their communities.
