080226 From Whence I See the Morning Sun
From whence I see the morning sun
A place of my heart, a source within my eye
The yearn of the past, the love of the morrow
My soul does jump, my mind goes aflutter
From whence I see the morning sun
Morning breaks the night, so too, light comes ... bright
So easy to remember, yet so hard to forget
Pieces of love sharded throughout all of life
So like paper cuts upon all mankind minds
Thus asking,
From whence I see the morning sun
A sixteenth century turn of word
A twenty first century coffee procured
A nineteen sixteen letter bound book
Robert Service poems, old, alive once more
A grandma's signature of love to a thirty year old son
Grandma never known, I touch the signature, across time, across space
The mother, the son, my father, an here am I
The yearn of the past, the love of the morrow
The best, the most to be said
From whence I see the morning sun

STORY: Every one little thing morphs into such great and never ending things. It's the way of the world, it's the way of the mind, it's the way of things. If you get the morning sun, you probably get the day, you probably get the night. It's wrapped up and delivered in the word "probably." What shards do you handle, what shards do you break? What paper do you write upon until the day it slices thru your typing finger? Your typing heart? Who are you, why don't you talk to me? Must I always speak for you? But then you are mad. Then what?
