Many people in our community will be affected by the recent disaster at Smitty’s. While some of those affected have been merely inconvenienced, this event will certainly impact the livelihoods of hundreds, if not thousands, of our neighbors. Our office is so thankful to know that no lives were lost! The outpouring of support and assistance of first responders from near and far has proven invaluable. We are hopeful that the fire is extinguished as quickly as possible so those brave men and women can return to their families. Unfortunately, we aren’t likely to know the full scope of the impact this event will have on our area for some time but our office is prepared to assist those affected in addressing any claims or questions that have arisen as a result of this situation. In the meantime we encourage everyone to continue to pray for the first responders who are addressing the situation, the families who have been affected by this event, those who are uncertain of their employment future, the officials tasked with making decisions, the Town of Roseland and our entire area as we continue to await the resolution of this event.
