Evan grew up in Floydada, Texas, the Pumpkin Capital of the U.S. In 2018, she received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications from Texas Tech University. Caroline E. Stout is an Associate at Sprouse Shrader Smith, with a focus on civil litigation. Her legal experience includes commercial litigation, complex litigation, and personal injury.

A native of Houston, Caroline graduated from Texas A&M University in 2018 with a degree in Political Science and a certificate in International Relations. Before pursuing law, she taught 8th grade English in Katy ISD. Caroline then earned her J.D. with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2024, where she served as Assistant Executive Editor of the American Indian Law Review and as Director of Negotiations for the Board of Advocates, and competed on the Appellate Advocacy team at the Federal Bar Association Moot Court Competition.

Shane Brooks is a Member with Sprouse Shrader Smith PLLC whose broad transactional practice includes advising businesses and individuals in Texas and New Mexico in oil and gas, real estate, corporate and estate matters. Shane has extensive experience working with the firm’s sizeable oil and gas team on both large and small scale oil and gas title examinations and curative matters. He also works closely with small businesses to help navigate the many legal issues encountered in their operations. Together with other team members in the firm, Shane regularly advises clients on issues including entity formations, corporate and tax, agribusiness, banking, construction, collections and liens, wealth planning, probate, employment matters and gun trusts.

When he isn’t working, Shane spends time with his wife Brie, daughters Blair and Berklee, and son Sloan.
