Usually, being a control freak gets you side-eyed. But in Estate Planning? It’s a job requirement. 📝✨

This is the one place where micromanaging is actually a good thing. You get to decide exactly where your money goes, who looks after your kids, and who definitely doesn't touch your vintage record collection.

Before Astronaut Reid Wiseman headed to the launchpad for the Artemis II mission, he had to have a "worst-case scenario" talk with his daughters.

As a single dad about to orbit the moon, he didn't want to just leave a pile of papers on his desk for his daughters… He had already lost his wife to cancer and didn’t want to leave them with that kind of burden.

He sat them down and walked them through everything: where the Will was kept, how the Trust worked, and exactly what to do if he didn't make it back.

Wiseman later shared that he wished every family had this kind of talk, and he’s right.

Most of us avoid these conversations because they feel heavy or "too soon." But Wiseman realized that the paperwork is only half the battle.
