Let's go!!! I'm looking forward to serving as a moderator during the Advocacy Track at the American Association for Justice 2026 Annual Convention.

Throughout the day, I'll be moderating "Shifting Sands: What to Expect in an Everchanging Legal Environment," helping guide discussions on the evolving challenges and opportunities facing trial lawyers today.

One of the things I enjoy most about AAJ is the opportunity to bring together experienced advocates, facilitate meaningful conversations, and learn from the collective knowledge of our plaintiffs' bar.

If you'll be in Chicago for the convention, I hope you'll join us. I'm looking forward to connecting with colleagues and engaging in discussions that help us all become stronger advocates for our clients.

Qué noche! 🇲🇽⚽

La Fiesta Futbolera at Revel Albuquerque last night, hosted by the Consulado de México en Albuquerque as part of Casa México en Nuevo México, was everything you’d want. Grupo Kaoz on the stage, tacos courtesy of La Planta, jerseys and sombreros everywhere, and a packed house watching Mexico take the pitch in the Round of 32. The energy was unreal!

Singleton Schreiber was proud to be one of the sponsors, alongside so many others who showed up for this one. Our relationship with the Consulate runs deep, and evenings like this are why. Fútbol brings people together. So does good food, live música, familiar faces, and a shared love for a team you’d follow to the ends of the earth.

Nights like this are what community feels like. Grateful to have been in that room.

Filming from one of my favorite spots in Northern New Mexico, a beautiful little coffeehouse in Watrous, to share something I'm humbled by.

This week, I was named to the 2026 Lawdragon 500 X – The Next Generation, alongside eight of my colleagues at Singleton Schreiber. Nine of us, recognized nationally for advocacy, leadership, and impact in the work we do every day on behalf of people who have been hurt or have suffered loss.

It's an honor. And it's also a reminder of why staying grounded matters. That's why I sit down in places like this, with people in towns like this, because the work means most when we never lose sight of who it's for.

I grew up in the Marine Corps with three values: honor, courage, and commitment. Those values live in this firm. They live in my eight fellow honorees, and in every attorney at Singleton Schreiber who shows up for clients with a victim-centered, relentless, fully committed approach.

The Albuquerque Museum is one of this city’s true gems.

A couple of weeks ago, Karen and I, along with several of my colleagues, had the privilege of attending Viva el Museo: Route 66, the Albuquerque Museum Foundation’s annual gala. This year, it celebrated the history of Route 66 in Albuquerque and across New Mexico. The room was full of community leaders, museum supporters, and people who believe, as I do, that art, history, and culture are not luxuries. They are how a place keeps its identity intact across generations.

Singleton Schreiber was proud to serve as the Welcome Sponsor for the evening, and even prouder to support the Museum’s year-round work in education, cultural programming, and community engagement. The Albuquerque Museum makes our city richer, and the Foundation makes that work possible.

Humbled and grateful to be named one of nine Singleton Schreiber attorneys recognized in the 2026 500 X – The Next Generation.

This honor doesn't belong to any one of us alone. It belongs to a firm built around the conviction that people who have been hurt or have suffered loss deserve someone willing to stand in their corner fully and fearlessly. That's the work. And it's a privilege to do it alongside this group.

Here’s something a lot of people don’t know: you are not locked into the attorney you started with. I recently heard from someone hurt in a crash near Santa Fe who felt his case had stalled. His calls went unreturned and he had no sense that anyone was fighting for him. When someone’s already represented, I’m careful to give only honest, unbiased information so they can make their own decision, whether that’s staying with their current lawyer, finding a different one, or moving forward with me. The choice is always theirs. But it IS a choice. You hired someone to fight for you. You deserve someone who does.

Always good to be in the same room as old friends doing important work. 🤝

Today I joined a lunch hosted by the ACLU of New Mexico and its Executive Director, Leon Howard alongside my colleague Michael Duran, representing Singleton Schreiber and our NM Managing Partner, Brian S. Colón.

We spent the afternoon with Leon's litigation team, including Legal Director María Martínez Sánchez, one of the few Latinas leading in that space and with that title in the entire country, and Deputy Legal Director Kristin Greer Love, one of the fiercest defenders of the New Mexico Civil Rights Act in the state. They walked us through the fights we're in right now: defending immigrants against an aggressive federal posture, protecting and expanding reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights, and standing up for the civil liberties of every New Mexican. It was nothing short of inspiring.

Part 2 of the series with New Mexico Safety Over Profit is up. The closing thought from this video is one I believe deeply: essential services should serve communities, not investors. I’ve spent my career — in uniform, as a federal prosecutor, and now as a trial lawyer for New Mexicans who’ve been hurt — believing the people with the least leverage deserve someone in their corner. Almost nothing in this state carries less leverage than your relationship with the company that keeps your lights on. The proposed Blackstone acquisition of PNM’s parent company is still pending before the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission and additional federal regulators. Pay attention. Ask the questions. This one matters.
