Ground Up Legal

Ground Up Legal We offer you affordable legal care. Who We Are

We are you. We are the entrepreneurs. We are the startup. We are the small business. We are the artists.

Ground Up Legal™ is a subscription based legal service geared toward entertainers, including: musicians, actors, dancers, models, as well as entrepreneurs in the start-up and small business phase. We are what we offer. It is our mission to give you personal service. You will never feel like a corporation is servicing you. You will never feel like you have been lost in the black hole that we call t

he Internet. Our service to you will be of the highest quality because we know that this is an investment in your future. We look forward to joining your team! . The Issue

Far too often, individuals at the ground phase of their entertainment or entrepreneurial career skip the part of the business plan that allots a line for legal fees. Business owners and musicians feel like a lawyer is not needed until later on when they can “afford” one, when they land that big record deal or when the business starts to make a profit. This is the wrong way to think. The Solution

You need legal services NOW! The ground level is when you know the least about what you are doing because you have never done it before; this is when you need the help of a trained eye to read over your management contracts, agent contracts, commercial leases, vendor contracts and more. Our target clients are artists and business owners that are in the first five years of the start-up. However, feel free to stay with Ground Up Legal for the life of your career, we’d love to keep you!! For a minimal monthly subscription, you get a lawyer in your back pocket, something every successful entertainer and entrepreneur has. As a member, you will receive reduced rates on other services offered by Ground Up Legal. Don’t wait until it’s too late and you’re trying to work your way out of an agreement. Get yourself a lawyer now. Your career is important. Be proactive, not reactive!

Just so you know. If your phone is password protected or pattern protected, the police cannot have you open it. If it's facial recognition or thumb print, they can make you open it.

When posting your videos to any sites where you can monetize (get paid from advertisers for views) your video (like YouTube), DO NOT use songs of popular artists or music you don't have permission to use. Although it seems to make sense to draw people in with familiar music, you will be in violation of their copyrights and guess who will get paid for your 100,000 views...NOT YOU!

To all my NY peeps that smoke ma*****na. Let me help you understand the new law that goes into effect today.
1. You DO NOT have permission to walk down the street smoking a doobie.
2. You MUST always carry ID (w/o ID, you will be arrested).
3. Any ma*****na in plain sight is grounds for an arrest. Plain sight includes smoking a joint in your car, buying ma*****na where a cop sees the substance change hands, etc.
4. If you are stopped and searched...DO NOT...I repeat...DO NOT empty your pockets. If you take ma*****na out of your pocket it triggers "plain sight" and you will be arrested.
5. If you are found to possess the 25 grams or less, a summons will be issued. You MUST appear in court. If you miss your court date, a bench warrant will be issued.
This new law does not legalize ma*****na in any way.
